KK Sabah Trip Day 3

Back to update my Sabah trip again! I've been updating my blog for three consecutive days, well mostly because I wanna finish my Sabah trip posts by 2013, or else you guys may have to wait for three months. Nah, I'm just too bored during holidays. hehehe In case you missed out my first and second day, here is the links.
KK Sabah Trip Day 3, 10 December 2013, Tuesday.
So, the next day we left KK city and headed for Kundasang, after we had our breakfast at the rooftop café.
The journey took about 2.5 hours to Kundasang.
And on the way, you can enjoy lots of breathtaking scenery of greenery mountains. You can never see those views in city town. The moment when you realize you are surrounded by tons of trees and mountains is awesome and memorable! Although the journey was quite boring and tiring. lol However, the scenery will definitely boost up your energy!

Dropped by here to take a rest. The road to Kundasang is quite winding, so it's good to take a short break at this station and we can enjoy the view of Kota Kinabalu Mountain!

wahahahaha

Actually, the KK mountain was just behind us which was blocked by those thick cloud. Oh, and remember to apply sunscreen, or else you may get sunburn in just few minutes.

This is our signature pose throughout the trip. LOL Started by me wahahaha

Spot Ryan? He was our tour guide for the coming days! He is so knowledgeable regarding the plants especially orchids. Moreover, he is super adorable and funny!

Then, finally we reached Kota Kinabalu Park, where we visited the gallery. Everything is about the different species of fauna and flora which can be found in the mountain. There are actually thousands or hundreds of different species of fauna and flora in the mountain! OMG

Next, we headed to Botanical Garden! I love it so much! Continue reading, and you'll know why. hehe

On the way to the garden, you can feel the air is so different from what we used to inhale. Seriously, and even the weather is so much different! It was so chilling, as if I was in air-conditional room.

Jelly fungus, told by Ryan.

Remember!

There are so many different type and species of flora in there! We were lucky to have Ryan explained so much about the flora there, despite all those scientific names of the plants are super hard to be remembered. LOL

Does it look like a mickey mouse to you? haha

Kerosene fruit! Ryan proved to us that it's really flammable! Look at his tattoo as well, so cool huh!

Can you see him? Kinda gross to me, but well done dude camouflage uh!

According to Ryan, this is the most expensive orchid in the world.

Another type of orchid!

A ball of lil flowers. hehe

stupid facial expression. lol

After such a nice walking in the Botanical Garden, we headed to Sabah Tea Garden, requested by my eldest sista.

Here she is.

Different sizes of the tea leaves for various purposes.

Tour guide for the Sabah Tea Garden.

Left is a good quality tea leaves, right is bad quality tea leaves which is colouring added.

lol, what's with that face?

View from above.

RM 10 ticket included these.

sis with Ryan was discussing about the games. wtf. lol

You can try out different kind of flavoured tea served there and maybe have lunch as well.

Then we had our lunch at the restaurant nearby the Hot Spring.

Then we paid a visit here, Poring Hot Spring Station Recreation Area!
Where we had our canopy walk and hot spring session! Well, initially we thought canopy walk and hot spring were located at two different places, but.... it's at the same place! In the end, all of us wore slippers to canopy walk...

This is the private hot spring, but you have to pay extra of course!

Canopy journey starts now. Oh just to remind you, every camera included phones with camera cost RM5 for each. lol

that stupid face again. HAHA

sista behind was busy with her phone.

Blurr...

This boy was hanging around at the tower to the hanging bridge!
He was super cute and so active, he asked me, if I were scared to cross the bridge. I answered him, "No, I love to cross it and it's always my favourite." He looked at me with his adorable smile. Aww!

There are three connected hanging bridges! It was so fun to cross it, I was thinking to run, yet there was someone behind me, so I didn't get to challenge myself. lol

During the canopy walk, Ryan did his best to explain to us about the flora we saw in the jungle. And he is really funny! Fortunate to have him as our tour guide, or else we might bored to death. lol

We didn't really try the hot spring, because it was packed with locals and tourists. I just dipped my feet into the water, well not much different. hehe

Next, we went to have a look at the Rafflesia, the biggest flower in the world.

Dead buds of the Rafflesia I think..

The almost-die-Rafflesia. lol

After paying a visit to the Rafflesia, we eventually went to the hotel for check in, Kinabalu Pine Resort.

actually not really cold, but chilling lah. KK mountain was just right in front!

After wandering around the resort, we went back to our rooms to take a short break, then went for dinner, steamboat. Well, so-so nothing particular.

selfie with flash light. lol rare.

Papa and Mama. xoxo

During the night, the temperature wasn't very cold but chilling, as if in the air-con room. It was quite comfortable temperature compared to city. Moreover, it was natural air-conditional! There is sharing balcony in front of every room, and you can have your sweet time with your family there chitchatting. Besides, they also provide a venue for BBQ! Additionally, they have a strategic place to enjoy the magnificent view of KK mountain! HA! I'll update this in the next post! Stay tuned! :D

that's all! Hope you enjoy this post! ;)
